In ‘78 and ‘79, Clay was the advertising executive for the men’s store,
Norton Ditto. I was among the lucky models he hired for the store’s
catalog. His professionalism and easy-going charm made him a pleasure
to work with. And his eye for style made for classy ads. Clay and I later
dated briefly, and he was as much a pleasure socially as he was
